I've been looking around for a used weight set and haven't found anything that isn't $1 pound or more or completely uncared for, rusty and chipping.
Looking online, walmart has a 300 lb set for $200. There has to be some quality issues, but what is it? More prone to chipping if dropped? Weight deviations from listed? The only part I can think about being concerned for is the bar itself, which I can splurge on if need be as long as the weights have a stanrdard bar size.
